We
are the Reids !
My name is Patty Reid and I live with my husband,
Michael, in the hills of the Mark Twain National
Forest near Marquand, MO. Our poodles have 40+
acres to run and play in. We feel this is the
perfect place to raise healthy, happy and loving
poodles. I have long desired to promote and breed
this outstanding dog. My husband is very
supportive and I feel ours is truly a team effort.
I enjoy meeting and helping all lovers of dogs. I
have been a certified evaluator for the CGC
program sponsored by the AKC and have also
instructed obedience classes. This gives me the
opportunity to showcase the standard poodle and
let others know how wonderful they are.
I do all the grooming of our dogs and puppies.
Even though self-taught (with a lot of help from
my fellow poodle lovers) their cuts are very
important to us. Because our
dogs love to run and romp in the woods and hills
of our property as well as going with us on
horseback rides over the hills and through the
dells, their clips must fit in.
We adhere to strict standards of testing on any
potential dam or sire introduced into our breeding
program. We believe testing is a serious matter
and accept our responsibility to ensure correct
health and conformation. We test for eyes (CERF),
hips (OFA), Thyroid, and von Willebrand disease.
Correct temperament is a major factor in our
breeding program. Not only are our dogs "a living
work of art," they are also a pleasure to live
with. Our goal is to produce ever better for our
prospective puppy owners. As we register our dogs
with AKC and UKC, we strive to help each one reach
their highest potential right from birth.
We practice the Bio-Sensor program, believing this
early neurological stimulation will give each
puppy a superior advantage for life.
Our puppies have a "forever" home with us if for
any reason their adopted parents cannot keep
them. We never want to discover one of our
puppies in a shelter, rescue operation or given to
someone else. This is a very serious matter for
us.
We would welcome hearing from you but now enjoy
your visit to . . .
